It's been a few weeks since last I've heard from you - is everything okay? I've been wondering if you have been overrun with work at the Ministry. I hope that for your sake, you're taking good care of yourself. I don't want my little brother to be going prematurely grey or balding.
I haven't heard from you since your friend [blacked out to protect idenity] came to visit and investigate. He was able to uncover that it was parts of the You-Know-Who organisation who were stealing Muggles away in the dark of night, but we have no further evidence of exactly who is kidnapping them.
Which leads me to my next point - brother, you know that by my count, there have been ten Muggles kidnapped in the last few months. Yesterday, a child was abducted.
Muggle newspapers say that a young girl, possibly no older than seven, was taken in the middle of the night from her home outside of Galway. This is the first time that any of the Muggles have been children this young. As you know, we haven't found any bodies, or any signs of life, either. I hope to Merlin that these n'er-do-wells cease their reign of terror. The wizarding community here doesn't seem to care, but the Muggles are up in arms.
I've thought over what you and [name blacked] talked to me about. I've talked it over with Maeve and she is dreadfully afraid of my even thinking about joining your group, and the more I think about it, she's right. This is not my fight. I am disturbed by Muggle disappearances, but better them than me, Arthur. I'm serious. You put too much stock in Muggles, and you always have. I hope you will come to your senses and overlook this whole "order" thing you keep harping on about. No one will doubt that you're trying to help, but seriously, Arthur, you're in the Ministry. How much more do you need to do?
I will keep up with the Muggle press for you, though, and will continue to write you with any information you might need. But think about what I've written. You might be afraid to sever ties with this "order" but you really must. You have to think about your position at the Ministry. Anyway, give the boys and Molly my love.
*sigh* He is the WORLD'S BIGGEST GIT at times. So - Lawrence, Albus, dear brothers-in-law, what do you make of it?
